I have also tutored several students in high school for algebra as well as a college student in Calculus 2 GRE score: 160 Verbal/ 162 Math SAT score: 2080 AP Calc: 4 AP Bio: 5 I want to be a tutor because I enjoy helping and teaching people. I am very patient and I understand that each student is unique and so I am good at identifying the best teaching technique to get maximum results. I have taken and gotten an A in Calculus 1, Statistics for Engineering students (AMS 310), Biology and Physiology (BIO 202 and 203), physics (PHY 131) as well as writing and english courses. Through my biomedical engineering courses, I have mastered a lot of calculus and math techniques that I have learned previously and therefore I am better equipped to teach others. I have done research at a biomechanics lab at SUNY Stony Brook for 1.5 years and have presented at several events. I was a Resident Assistant for 2 years and helped many incoming students figure out what they needed to graduate on time and helped them navigate through the campus. I worked at the Young Investigator's Review, an undergraduate research journal, as the Layout Editor in addition to editing the articles constructively. In 2012 I went to Ghana with a team of 30 for a medical brigade and served over 900 patients in the Asafa community.
